This plugin adds automatically, without having to modify your template, the javascript needed to run the Lightbox effect on your photos, but using jQuery library instead of Prototype.
This version includes plugin Slimbox 2.04 (created by Christophe Beyls) and allows you to automatically insert the version of jquery more updated inside wordpress.
Slimbox 2 is a 4 KB visual clone of the popular Lightbox 2 script by Lokesh Dhakar, written using the jQuery javascript library. It was designed to be very small, efficient, standards-friendly, fully customizable, more convenient and 100% compatible with the original Lightbox 2.
- Can be used together with NextGen Gallery, adds javascript that runs the Lightbox effect
- Use the tag “wp_enqueue_script” to add directly latest version of jquery available in wordpress.
- The Jquery and slimbox2 code are moved into the footer so not weigh on page load, as specific to Yahoo and Google.
